- Go down the street, turn to the left at the traffic light and you will find yourself at

the underground station.

- Дякую за інформацію. Це далеко?

- Within ten minutes` walk.

- Дякую вам.

- Не варто турбуватися.

2. - Вибачте, я правильно йду до Trafalgar Square?

- I am afraid not. You should go in the opposite direction.

- Дякую. На скільки далеко звідси?

- It will take you a quarter of an hour to get there.

- Дякую.

3. – Вибачте Британський музей далеко?

- You`d better take a bus.

- Де зупинка автобуса?

- Round the corner.

- Дякую.

4. - Які у вас враження від Лондона?

- I`m greatly impressed by the city.

- Я дуже радий, що місто вам сподобалося.

- I can`t say I have seen everything.

- Скільки часу вам знадобилося, щоб оглянути центр Лондона?

- It took me four hours.

- Сподіваюсь ми поїдемо оглядати визначні місця разом завтра.

- It will be very kind of you if you show me round.

— Excuse me, where is the ticket office?

— Round the comer.

— Thank you. I want a round trip ticket to Boston.

— What class?

— First.

— Here it is.

— Porter, will you see to my luggage, please?

— Where for, Sir?

— I am going to Boston by the 10 o'clock train. First class. I'd like a comer seat,

facing the engine, in a nonsmoker.

— OK. Here we are.

— What time do we get to Boston?

— The train is due to arrive in Boston at 12.30.

— Thank you for the information.

— Have a comfortable journey. In the Compartment

— Excuse me, don't you think it's a bit stuffy here?

— Yes, rather.

— What about having the window open?

— Not a bad idea. Can you manage it?

— I'll try to. Is that all right?

— Yes, fine.

— The train is going very well, I wonder if it will keep the same speed all the way.

— Almost it slows down when it crosses the river.

— You know the route well, don't you?

— I travel this way once a month on an average.

— No one travels that often for pleasure.

— You have said it. I am going on business.

— Look, what a beautiful place we are passing!

— That is the most picturesque place on our route.

— It's a pity there are few quiet places in our industrial age.

— I agree with you here. I've got two boxes of beer about me. Would you like to

have a drink?

— Yes, thanks. I am thirsty. Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Anthony

Buttler.

— Glad to meet you, Mr. Buttler. My name is Peter Walker.

— Pleased to know you, Mr. Walker.
