— Let me trace the fault,
— Будь ласка. Я буду радий, якщо ти мені допоможеш. Ти досвідчений водій,

— Yes, I am. I have been driving a car for fifteen years now. Maybe you have ran out
of gas?
— Це неможливо. Бак майже повний.
— When did you have your plugs checked?
— На днях. Карбюратор теж в порядку.
— У такому разі сідай в мою машину і поїдемо до найближчої заправної
станції.
— Good idea. They will have the car fixed.

2. — Коли тобі полагодили машину?
— Last month. The engine is in good condition now. It was well greased,

- I`d like to have a double room with bath.
- How long are you planning to stay, Sir?
- I guess, we`ll stay for three or four days.
- I can give you an outside room on the seventh floor.
- Is it very noisy?
- By no means. The street is very quiet. In front of the hotel you can see a big park.
- How much is the room?
- 70 dollar a day. The charge includes breakfast.
- All right. I’ll take it.
- I’m leaving tomorrow. Please, prepare my bill.
- Sure, Sir. The bill will be ready tonight. Shall I send it to your room?
- No, I’ll pay here, at the desk tomorrow.
- OK
- I know you have just returned from USA, George. Am I right?
- You are quite right.
- I am going to the USA one of these days. Is it possible to reserve a room by
telegram?
- I think so. In the USA you will have to fill in a registration form. That means you
will have to put down your name, nationality and home address.
- Anything else?
- Yes, the place and date of birth and some other information should be put
down.
- Thank you for the information.
- You should know that the room charge includes breakfast. Make sure that the bill
is prepared one day before leaving. The bill includes 13% (percent) service
charge.You won’t have to tip your maid and the waiter.
