4. Install:

• Valve cotters Ø

NOTE:

Install the valve cotters while compressing the valve spring with a valve spring compressor and attachment Ø

5. Secure the valve cotters onto the valve stem by tapping lightly with a piece of wood

CAUTION:

Avoid tapping too hard, to avoid damaging the valve

CYLINDERANDPISTON PISTON AND PISTON RINGS REMOVAL

1. Remove:

• Piston ring circlip Ø

• Piston pin Ø

• Piston Ø

NOTE:

Before removing the piston pin circlip, cover the crankcase opening with a clean towel or rang to pre- vent the circlip from falling into the crankcase cavity

2. Remove:

• Top ring

• 2nd ring

• Oil ring

NOTE:

When removing the piston ring, open the end gap of the ring with the fingers, and push up the other side of the ring
